Hello!
I know my last post said that I wouldn't be back in action until tomorrow but I just couldn't wait to get some blog time! So here I am and it wont be a long post today. Today's material is a simple promotion for webinars.
I did my last webinar with Joost Van Nispen on Second Life last week. I have to say that it was one of the most interesting seminars I have done. This is not necessarily due to Joost's comments, eventhough he had wonderful things to say. He addressed the different mindset of marketing between europeans and americans. He said that europeans usually say the word "survive" in a marketplace and americans usually say the word "succeed" in the marketplace. This was in his opening remarks. The seminar lasted around an hour - half hour talk by Joost and half hour Q&A. His main message was that marketing today is about being direct, interactive, and relational. I totally agree! However, I have already read what Joost's message was and didn't get a whole lot of new information. So, what was really interesting about this conference was its medium. We did this webinar in Second Life. If you like video games and the virtual world, you are going to love Second Life. For those out there that do lots of seminars and conferences, webinars are the newest, easiest, fastest, and cheapest ways to break your new research. The fact that Infojobs.net and Joost Van Nispen collaborated to do this webinar on Second Life was very, very cool.
Let me suggest some webinars that are coming up that I, too, will be attending and have already signed up. Both are free!
MarketingProfs has several seminars coming up! Check them out!
And I will be attending a webinar on Chief Marketer tomorrow! Okay folks, have fun and keep learning!
