FACEBOOK FLASHMOB - LONDON

How cool is this folks!??!??! It made CNN news!

When I saw this on the headlines yesterday, I immediately wanted to be there! There is nothing cooler than participating in a genuine, original event. Crazzy Eve and Ay Kings on Facebook are putting together the T-Mobile inspired flashmob silent dance events for the general public in London.

If this is not a great example of viral marketing, then I don't know what is. What is even better is that this event has been, by what it seems, mostly promoted via Facebook. Social Networking, Social Marketing! I have a good friend that does event promotions in Valencia and his group doesn't quite respond like this. Elite Valencia has nearly 2,000 members and the actual group participation for events has been quite minimal - around 1% attendance. In so, I have lost faith in the power of social network events, until now!

It is real, happening proof how relationships, content, and "coolness" drive action!
